On Monday 18th of August, researcher Ildefonso León Monzón visited the facilities of the Technological Innovation Park (PIT, Parque de Innovación Tecnológica) of the Autonomous University of Sinaloa (UAS, Universidad Autónoma de Sinaloa), with the purpose of knowing its different opportunity areas, as well as giving the conference Project of Innovation for Natural and Exact Sciences Pedagogy. Such event was destined to researchers and academics of diverse knowledge areas within the UAS.
As part of his conference, Doctor in Physics León Monzón talked about his experience in the European Council for Nuclear Research (CERN, Conseil Européen pour la Recherche Nucléaire), located in Geneva (Switzerland). His activities were developed in ALICE Detector, which labor consists on recreating the Big Bang and demonstrating how the creation of the Universe occurred.
About this particular, he assured: “Years ago, it was thought that when the early Universe was created, it had a gas property, as in gaseous state, and ALICE experiment brought it ain’t gas, is liquid; but strange, in addition. It’s perfect, flows without barriers”.
By last, he commented that the UAS has a very important role within the CERN: “Nowadays, the UAS is the one which contributes with the biggest quantity of human resources for the detectors’ design”.
